Runway Research

Runway Research is the experimental fashion research programme of Isabel is my name. Through collections conceived for the runway, it investigates the relationship between body, material, volume, movement and contemporary culture. Each collection functions as an open research project whose findings inform the studio's future methodologies, prêt-à-porter collections and scenic collaborations

Experimental Fashion Research

For Isabel is my name, the runway is not simply a platform for presenting garments. It is a space for inquiry.

Every collection begins with a question rather than a trend, exploring how fashion can generate new ways of understanding the relationship between body, material, movement and contemporary culture. Instead of responding to seasonal cycles, our projects evolve through observation, experimentation and continuous refinement.

Research developed through Runway Research is presented through international fashion weeks, exhibitions, artistic collaborations, publications and cultural platforms that contribute to the dissemination of contemporary fashion research.

These presentations represent moments within a broader process of investigation, dialogue and knowledge production rather than the conclusion of a project.

Runway Research allows ideas to be tested at full scale. Volumes, proportions, material behaviour and construction methods are explored beyond the constraints of commercial production, transforming each collection into an experimental field where design functions as both practice and research.

The knowledge generated through these investigations does not remain confined to the runway. It informs the evolution of the Hybrid Upcycling System, enriches our Hybrid Prêt-à-Porter collections and expands the creative possibilities developed through Scenic Lab.

Every runway presentation therefore represents more than a collection. It becomes a published stage within an ongoing programme of contemporary fashion research.

Research Collections

Publications & Presentations

Runway Research is conceived as an open programme of continuous investigation.

Every collection generates new questions.

Every experiment expands the methodology.

Every presentation becomes a point of departure for future research.

Rather than seeking definitive answers, the programme remains committed to exploring the evolving relationship between fashion, material culture and contemporary artistic practice.

CONSERVACIÓN
AFECTIVA
