A blazer rebuilt around contrast: a double lapel stacked in layers at the chest, disrupting the single clean line of a traditional jacket, paired with soft ties knotted at each sleeve — a detail that reads as almost domestic, like something borrowed and re-tied by hand. The result plays with contrast: the shoulder stays sharp and tailored, while the tied sleeves bring in something looser, almost improvised — as if the piece hadn't quite decided to stay formal. Developed through our Hybrid Upcycling System (HUS), The James Jacket was built from a recovered garment, selected, deconstructed, and reassembled into this new form — carrying forward the memory of what it was before.
